Dryden, Ontario - Oil on Canvas

This painting is from a photo my son took up in Dryden, Northern Ontario when tree planting. It was a simple photo, but I loved the story. This was his road everyday for 3 months taking him to “The Block", the block he would plant thousands of spruces. I love that these young people are nurturing our land, refurbishing our forests for future growth and their passion and drive to do so, in often challenging elements, is so pure. The Road is exactly that, the hint of new growth in the background and the drive to do so is this painting.
