Lac la Raquette, Quebec - Oil on Canvas

I love this painting as it reminds me about taking time in life, time for rest, self reflection, resetting and re-balancing. It’s almost a "mindfulness" painting. I was at a small remote little fishing cabin on this private little lake in Quebec, so serene. It triggered an elevation of ones senses allowing me to tap into the beauty and peace around me. I listened to my little sister's stories of her many years coming here with her love and family and felt the presence of them. The bald eagles were present in their nests, the fish were not in abundance but shared themselves in ration, and the stillness of reflections on the lake brought all elements of sky, land and water as one. I love the colours as well, the pinks blues and greens. I ended up using this painting as my 2019 business cards. Enjoy.
