Lake Rosseau, Muskoka, Ontario - Oil on Canvas

I love the sky in this painting. My daughter was at her friends cottage on Lake Roseau and sent me some lovely photos. My daughter had mentioned that in just a few minutes later after this photo was taken, it was pure darkness. I love that I captured the last of daylight in this day, the beauty of the day ending and the colours in almost darkness that we still can see. The hint of purple hues contrast so well with the oranges in the sun setting.
