Bonavista, Newfoundland - Oil on Canvas

This painting brought me back to our memorable trip to Newfoundland in 2000. Bonavista is a pretty little town along the shore. Although we never did see the icebergs in July, our old friends captured this photo two summers ago and I was taken back by the size and beauty of the iceberg, it feels like you could just reach out and touch it, like that of a cotton ball cloud that seems just within reach. The appreciation of the strength and majestic feel of this "ice cube" in the sea reminds us how grateful we are living in beautiful Canada.
