#551 It’s All in the Sky
Sheep Island Killarney Bay, Georgian Bay - Oil on Canvas
The skies we are seeing across Ontario these days are like no other. The drama and colour with the unpredictable array of cloud formations, leaves us questioning what kind of inclement weather is heading our way. For me, it reminds me of our vulnerability and perhaps, that our changing climate is imminent, as we can no longer predict our seasons and our weather. There is so much beauty when we take the time. One of our leaders at Camp Wanapitei took this photo from her cottage. I am so fortunate to continue to see the beauty through the eyes of all these younger adults in my life. The challenge in this painting was bringing compatibility through the use of colour, with the sky, rock and water. The northern Ontario skies tell a story in itself.
I was quite pleased seeing it all come together.
